Knowing God

When you make a mistake and blew it, how do you feel at that very moment? That is when you know how close or how far you are from God. Do you feel God is angry at you and dissatisfied with you? Or do you feel that God really cares, and that He knows that you want to walk close to Him and to do what is right? The perception that you have of God your Father in that moment will reveal to you how you see God. People think that when they feel lonely that it is God that has moved away from them, they feel God is condemning them or punishing them. They think that the reason why their prayers does not get answered is because they are not holy enough, and that it is God that is refusing to bless them because they have not fasted and prayed enough. Often people are trying to know God through their own feelings and own emotions.  But you can only know God through what the Word of God says about God!  God is a Spirit, and His Word is Spirit – the only way to know Him!  John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” Where does this wrong thinking comes from that God is condemning us, and separating from us? It comes from a knowledge of the Old Covenant.  People are trying to know and walk with God according to the Old Covenant, and there is no closeness and intimacy with God and no power. Why? we belong to a New Covenant.  Matthew 9:17 Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.” – It will destroy it and it will not work.One key truth of this New Covenant that we discover is that we are righteousness in God and no longer like it was in the Old Covenant through our behavior and conduct. If you are born-again that Old Covenant does not belong to you.Hebrews 8:13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away”.We have a new Covenant in Jesus, and when He came the old has passed away.  The truth/ knowledge about our righteousness in Jesus Christ is what will allow you and I to draw close to God and experience an intimacy to know God like Jesus.  My desire is to walk on this earth, to talk to our Father God and to know Him like Jesus knew His Father.  How to have intimacy with God and pleasure to know God.Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel (the good news) of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it (in this Gospel/Good news) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”We must learn to know, to dwell, to discover, God in this New Covenant because “in it” is revealed the righteousness of God. This righteousness that enable us to draw close to God and have intimacy with our Father.As long as you are trying to walk with God according this Old Covenant law (the ministry of condemnation) you will experience condemnation.2 Corinthians 3:9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry (gospel) of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.”What is Righteousness?  The divine ability to stand before God without any sense of guilt, condemnation, no shame and fear, as if sin has never existed.  It will give you freedom. Also, a right-standing with God being innocent, just as if sin never existed, you are justified before your Father God. Sin is no longer a problem between you and God, and you can approach Him boldly with confidence. No more struggles to gain God’s approval and acceptance and get Him to love you.Why did God create men?  God created men for His pleasure, Psalm 149:4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.”  He wanted children whom He could walk and talk to, to have closeness and to share everything He has – that was the heart of God. Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”Men is the only being that is like God that can fellowship with God.  The only one that has the ability that could have intimacy with God.  All the millions of animals have a body and a personality, but they are not a spirit, they were not created like men with a spirt, soul and a body.  1 Thessalonians 5: 23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctifyg]" style="font-variant-ligatures:normal; text-align:start; text-decoration-style:initial; text-decoration-color:initial"> you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” God created men in His image to fellowship with Him on a spirit level, not on a soul-ish level, not a feeling, not emotional but on a spiritual level.  When God created men from the dust of the earth He breathed in the nostril of men and that moment men became a spirit-being identical to God! Genesis 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being”. That is why God desires intimacy with you more than you do.  God created men, Adam and Eve, righteous without fear and condemnation.  Genesis 2: 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”  There was no fear but then in Genesis 3: 8 And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” 10 So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” – fear entered only when sin got in. They were not self-conscious of their bodies before sin entered but they were God-conscious and in His presence.  Everything else was created before God created men.  Adam was divinely called by God to name every animal to their purpose and their physical making, Adam never had that feeling of inadequateness of I am not good enough to do this, Adam was created righteous.  Righteousness will give you back who you are in Christ.  AM ***
